These terms are written in plain language deliberately. If anything is unclear, email [email protected] before you sign up.

What EPR Fees is

EPR Fees is software that helps you classify packaging under the current Recyclability Assessment Methodology (RAM) and forecast UK packaging Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) disposal fees, based on rates and rules published by PackUK and GOV.UK.

EPR Fees is not a compliance scheme. We do not register you for EPR, submit data to the Report Packaging Data service on your behalf, or pay any fee owed to PackUK on your behalf. You remain fully responsible for your own EPR obligations, registrations, and submissions.

EPR Fees does not provide legal, tax, or regulatory advice. The classifications and figures the tool produces are estimates based on the information you provide and the published methodology at the time. You are responsible for verifying your own RAM assessments and reported data before submission to PackUK.

Accuracy of figures

We take reasonable care to keep fee rates, multipliers, and RAM classification rules up to date with official PackUK and GOV.UK publications, and we cite our sources. However, published rates can be illustrative or subject to revision, and rules can change. We do not guarantee that figures shown in the tool will exactly match your eventual PackUK invoice or notice of liability. Use the tool for planning and decision-making, not as a substitute for your own compliance checks.

Your account

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for keeping access to that email secure, since sign-in is via a one-time link sent to it. You must be authorised to act on behalf of the business you register.

Free trial

New accounts get a 14-day free trial with full access, no payment card required to start. If you take no action, the trial ends automatically after 14 days and access is paused until you subscribe. We do not charge you without your explicit action to subscribe.

Subscription and billing

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. You can cancel at any time through the billing portal in your account; your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not offer refunds for partial months, except where required by law.

We may change our pricing with reasonable notice. Continuing to use the service after a price change takes effect means you accept the new price for your next billing period.

Your data

You retain ownership of the packaging and business data you enter. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle it. You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter; the tool's output is only as reliable as the input.

Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the service for anything unlawful; attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service; or share your account access with others outside your own organisation without agreement from us.

Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including fines, penalties, or additional fees arising from reliance on figures produced by the tool. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud, where such limitation is not permitted by law.

Ending your account

You may stop using the service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, or that we reasonably believe is being used unlawfully.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date, and we will make reasonable efforts to notify active subscribers.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
